What you see
and what I am
are separate things
you see me as you
want to see me
how you think I
should be
it would please you
greatly, I know
If I would try
to fit the mold
you set for me
And if things
were as before
I would stop at nothing
to satisfy you.

In the past
I would have
broken myself
only to have you
rebuild me
But now that
my love  has changed
you must see me
as I am.
And should you
fail to do so
or simply refuse to
then you will see
the emptiness
of your life
without me.
